Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines
The Chadstone Bowls Club follows the advice provided by state government, local government and Bowls Victoria. We've included links to the advice that informed this content at the bottom of this page.
When you arrive at the Bowls Club, please obey the following guidelines:
Please scan the QR code upon arrival. These are posted up around the bowls club. Please scan the QR code using your smartphone. This will open the COVIDtracer web page where you will be asked to provide your contact details. If you are having difficulty with or unsure how to use QR codes, please get assistance from a friend or family member.
Please wash your hands upon arrival and departure. While the club will provide hand wash at the club house entrance and in the toilets, we would ask that you also bring your own in case we run out at any given time.
Please wear a mask at all times. For the sport of bowls, a mask must be worn and should only be lowered to enable a player to play their shot, communicate game play (tactics or instructions), to momentarily regain composure if a player is short of breath or any other valid safety reason.
When greens are open, we can have a maximum of 10 people per green for non-pennant bowls. As we have 2 greens, this allows us to have up to 20 people bowling for activities such as social or barefoot bowls. These restrictions do not apply to community sport competition or practice.
Players should maintain social distancing guidelines, including staying at least 1.5m apart where possible, and refrain from hand shakes, high fives or any other contact.
The clubhouse and bar will be open during normal hours, subject to current restrictions. For Chadstone Bowls Club, this means a maximum of 10 people per group, and up to 40 people inside based on 1 person per 4 square meters inside.
